Materuni Waterfalls and coffee tour .

Discover the village of Materuni with Philip Adventure Safari and Company , The day will start with visiting a coffee plantation, where you will discover how coffee is cultivated, harvested, and processed. Practise roasting, making and tasting coffee and get to know the culture of the indigenous Chagga tribe. The trip also includes a hike to Materuni Waterfalls – with a height of roughly 90 metres, it is the tallest and most magnificent waterfall at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Remember to pack your swimwear, as you will also get a chance to cool off with a refreshing swim and to explore the gorgeous, lush surroundings! Lunch and entry costs are included in the price of the tour.

The small pond is surrounded by palm and fig trees with winding roots and the crystal clear, turquoise water invites you to a refreshing bath. Although they are called hot springs, the water in Kikuletwa is not truly ‘hot’ but refreshing, as the water source is fed by Kilimanjaro itself.
